Basic Motorcycle First Aid

This 2-day course is designed to give all motorcyclists the basic skills needed to deal with life-threatening injuries and medical emergencies that could occur while riding within an ambulance response area. (If you are planning a more adventurous trip into a more remote area, please ask us about our advanced training options).

The course includes

  • Standard First Aid (CPR & AED) for adults
  • Helmet removal and basic spinal stabilization
  • Wound Care including Deadly Bleeding
  • Splinting
  • Pelvic Binding
  • Choking for adults
  • Lifesaving Medications (Epi-pens, asthma inhalers, ASA, Naloxone)
  • Improvised equipment
  • What to have in your First Aid Kit
Basic Motorcycle First Aid. Several first responders are performing first aid on a biker lying next to his motorcycle.

Includes a Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR-A certificate valid for 3 years (recognized as OFA-1 by WorkSafe BC and can be used in the workplace).

The course is taught by an experienced paramedic instructor and fellow avid motorcyclist.

This course will be held outdoors and involves physical activity (such as bending and kneeling), and physical contact with other people, so please dress appropriately.

Please bring lunch, plenty of drinking water, snacks, sunscreen, any required personal items for a day of outdoor activity.

Please bring your own motorcycle helmet to the course (if you have one).
